Basil: Ocimum basilicum (L.)
Why choose basil? Basil essential oil has a rich, fresh aroma, making it an invigorating and ideal ingredient in “green” fragrance and perfume formulations. It’s especially suitable for blending with citrus essential oils (such as sweet orange, Citrus sinensis) to create an uplifting morning shower gel; or blended with soothing essential oils (such as lavender, Lavandula angustifolia) and used in your favorite diffuser.
Quality Assurance: Our basil essential oil comes from Egypt, with a reliable source of raw materials. The oil is extracted from the above-ground parts of the flowering plant using steam distillation. No genetic engineering, artificial fertilizers, or pesticides are used in the production process. Furthermore, our professional aromatherapists personally evaluate all essential oils – through touch, taste, smell, and laboratory analysis – to ensure your essential oil is suitable for use and completely free of any adulterants.

Essential oils that blend well with basil essential oil: Basil has a rich aroma and is considered a top note. It is invigorating, fresh, penetrating, slightly green, with subtle balsamic and woody undertones and a lasting sweetness. It blends well with the following essential oils:
Bergamot Citrus aurantium var. bergamia
Clary Sage Salvia sclarea
Geranium Pelargonium graveolens
Lime Citrus aurantiifolia
Oakmoss Evernia prunastri
Rosemary Rosmarinus officinalis
Violet Viola odorata
Recipe:
Nourishing Hair Serum:
Rosemary essential oil: 20 drops
Lavender essential oil: 20 drops
Basil essential oil: 10 drops
Thyme essential oil: 2 drops
Cedarwood essential oil: 2 drops
Mix all the essential oils in a half-ounce amber or opaque bottle to use as a concentrate; or mix it with one ounce of grapeseed oil and add one teaspoon of jojoba oil. If using the concentrate, massage a few drops into your scalp nightly, or put a few drops on your comb. This oil effectively increases hair shine and volume without making hair greasy. If using the diluted formula, massage into the scalp for at least two minutes, then apply a hot towel to the head to aid absorption.
